One of the things I love about being a woman is getting to wear pretty dresses and look all feminine. How many of us twirled around in our dresses when we were little? I always felt like a princess when I got to wear a dress that I loved. Unfortunately, I’ve found that it’s gotten harder to find dresses that not only make you feel beautiful, but do so while maintaining modesty.
A Dress with Style and Class
A visit to the Shabby Apple website will reveal a wide variety of women’s clothing that is designed for modest women in mind. Modest doesn’t have to be fuddy-duddy. Modest can be about looking elegant and womanly but not showing sooooo much skin that you feel like you’re walking around in a nightgown.
From A-Line skirts to Wrap Dresses – even maternity dresses, Shabby Apple has outfits that can suit your taste and style preferences. After much debate, we finally selected the lovely Side Saddle dress. I loved the colors and the slightly western style of the brown “faux” cover. The website noted that this dress fits generously, so as recommended, I ordered a size down. The dress I received looked exactly like what was pictured and what I was expecting.
There were so many things to love about this dress. It had everything that I was looking for – a nice cut, knee length or lower, and not too plunging of a neckline. There is a blue lining in the bust area and upper back portions of the dress while the rest is unlined. The dress is made with a Spandex/Polyester blend with the inner side being very smooth.
The shape of the dress is flattering – especially the sweetheart neckline. The placement of the brown around the waist and the hem also help create a nice feminine shape without having to hug the body too much. As the website stated, this dress does fit generously – especially in the upper portion if you have a smaller bust, but it can easily be fitted with a couple of stitches.
Overall I was so happy with this dress. After browsing their selection of clothing items some more, I’ll be picking up a few more things as well – especially since they’re currently offering 20% off!
