There are some amazing things about winter – that chill in the air, fresh snow on the ground, cozy fires, chapped skin. Oh, you don’t like chapped skin? Me either. When my hands start to feel dry and the skin tight, as if making a fist would cause cracks, I know that it’s time to start doing some serious moisturizing. The new Carmex Healing Lotion and Healing Cream collection are perfect products to help make dry hands, happy moisturized hands.

About Carmex Healing Lotion and Healing Cream

For over 70 years people have come to love the healing power of Carmex® lip balms. Finally, Carmex® Skin Care is here with a new solution to heal, soothe and moisturize your dry skin.

The Review

Carmex HealingI felt it as I was typing the other morning. That slight tightness across the back of the hands that told me that my skin was feeling a little parched. Like Sahara desert parched. The sad result of washing a lot of dishes in hot water without moisturizing afterwards.

To help heal your dry skin you can grab either the Carmex Healing Lotion of the Healing Cream. They both use a patente pending process to bring moisture and healing relief to dry skin. The cream is slightly thicker than the lotion, but otherwise they both do an excellent job at moisturizing. I usually find myself using the lotion for day-to-day healing and the cream for extra dry patches. They also absorb into the skin very quickly – within a few seconds after the initial application for me.

One of the things I love about the new Carmex Healing products are that they have a non-greasy formula. Too often lotions just seem to leave an oil slick on your hands after application, making opening jars or tubes of lip balm virtually impossible. After applying Carmex, my skin felt smooth and moisturized but not oily or greasy.

Both the Healing Lotion and the Healing Cream have a light scent. There’s still a hint of the trademark Carmex smell – a soothing blend of camphor and menthol, but it very pleasant and mild.

If you are looking for some serious healing for your dry skin, Carmex Healing Lotion and Carmex healing Cream are available in stores near you, including Walgreens, CVS and Walmart for $0.99 (for the smaller tubes) or $5.99 (for full-sized tubes.)
