There was a point in my movie watching “career” where I started purchasing ever Disney cartoon movie DVD. Cinderella, Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Bambi – all of those classic movies that Disney make super desirable by only releasing certain editions at certain times. I ended up with a collection of DVDs that needed some serious organization. They best way to organize you TV area is with a TV stand or an entertainment center.
You may ask what’s the difference between the two. A TV stand is almost like a large shelf or dresser that you can put your TV on top of. It may have drawers or cabitnes where you can put your DVDs or VHS tapes (if you still have those, that is…) Entertainment centers are typically much larger – potentially taking up a whole wall. Not only does it have a TV stand-like aspect, but it also has shalving that wraps around and above the TV, allowing you to create a very integrated look with your furniture.
Both options will give you great storage space, but you’d definitely get more shelving options with the entertainment center. I’m partial to the TV stand option myself because I like the thought of wall-mounting my TV and keeping the area around the TV free and clear.
