We all know that we’re supposed to be eating fiber. SUPPOSED to being the operative word. How many of use can say that we actually do? The DRV (Daily Recommend Value) of fiber for a 2000 calorie diet is 25 grams. Sadly, most men and women get around half or less of that, which could lead to…um…clogging. Fortunately there are foods that we can eat to up our fiber intake.
It’s time for a wake-up crunch! The delicious Fiber One taste you know and love has just gotten even better! Now getting the fiber that you need can be the most delicious part of your day with Fiber One cereal and bars.
With guild-free and indulgent choices that now taste even better than before, Fiber One helps make it easier than ever to increase your daily intake while leaving your taste buds jumping for joy.
When hunger strikes and you need to satisfy your sweet tooth, Fiber One has you covered with at least 45% of your daily value of fiber in every serving of their cereals and bars.
The biggest challenge with fiber is making sure that I have enough. That little serving of broccoli won’t provide enough, and you have to drink 3 glasses of the powdered stuff to even get close. It just seems like you have to eat a lot of food to get your 25 grams of fiber. Then I learned that it wasn’t so much quantity as it was quality. Eat fiber-ful foods, such as Fiber One Cereal or Fiber One Chewy Bars, and you’ll be surprised at how easily you can eat your DRV in fiber.
Starting with the cereal, Fiber One has five different varieties of cereal – Original, Honey Clusters, Rain Bran Clusters, Caramel Delight, and Shredded Wheat. Each cereal has between 9-14 grams (35% – 57%) of your DRV of fiber. Imagine that…if you have a bowl of Fiber One’s Original cereal, you start of your day half way to the amount of fiber you should be eating. I decided to try the Caramel Delight flavor for breakfast, which has 9 grams of fiber.
The cereal itself looks like sugary brown squares that reminded me of a not-so-healthy cereal. I poured in the milk and began to eat. When they named this cereal Caramel Delight, that was spot on – the flavor is totally caramel. It doesn’t at all taste like cereal that’s name starts with the word “fiber.” It was so tasty, that it became a go-to snack of choice for one of our testers, who would eat a bowl of cereal each night until we ran out of cereal.
Once you start off your morning almost half-way to your goal of 25g of fiber, how about getting on more step closer with a Fiber One Chewy Bar? I picked up a box of Oats & Chocolate. They also come in oats & Peanut Butter, Oats & Caramel, Oats & Strawberry, Oats & Apple Streusel, and Chocolate Mocha. Each Fiber One chewy bar has 9 grams of fiber. But that’s not all – they also taste GOOD! The bars were surprisingly chocolaty and sweet. Here are a couple of comments from the testers who thoughtfully ate the entire box….in one night:
“I really enjoyed the Fiber One bars as you recently noticed from the empty box at your house. I really like that the bar tastes like a regular cereal bar with a nice chocolate kick. The chewy texture and the oat filled taste makes for a great eating experience. You will want eat 2 or 3 of them because they taste so good but don’t fill you up. They are extremely addictive because of the sweet taste and the healthy content. “
“This ‘health’ bar does not taste like a health bar, but rather an insane burst of chocolate decadence with a dash of fudge and chocolate chips. I’m usually not a big fan of the “oat” flavor, the Fiber One bar was surprisingly good and it made me feel like I was eating something that was healthy. I’ve actually already gone out to my local grocery store and picked me up a box of these great snacks.”
The Fiber One Cereals and Chewy Bars are a great way to boost your fiber intake by providing tasty fiber foods. No “health” flavor. No lack of flavor. Just good food with fiber.
