It was beautiful weather today. The sort of weather that found me puttering around the yard pulling weeds and filling in dog-dug holes. The sort of weather that makes you want to sit back and enjoy something cool to drink after a day of working in the yard. When you’re looking for that nice refreshment, you may also want something to snack on – something that isn’t too heavy to weigh you down and something that doesn’t require a lot of prepwork – something like the very special Tostitos Thins chips.
About Tostitos Thins
The Review
When you open the bag of Tostitos Thins, it’s important to realize what they are, or shall I say, what they are not. They are not POW in your face, covered with flavor types of chips. These are chips that are more mild, meant to complement, enhance, and improve, not to overwhelm. That’s not to say that you can’t eat Tostitos Thins by themselves. You can, and I did numerous times.

Both varieties of Tostitos Thin flavors are delicious. The TexMex flavor is just the perfect blend of spice and almost a salsa flavor. Like a very mild BBQ (almost.) The Lime & Salt flavor had a more pronounced lime flavor than a salt flavor. It reminded me of a milder version of the Lime Tostitos chips that are regularly available.
The biggest difference to me was the thinness of the chips. I like tortilla chips, but I don’t want them TOO thick to the point that they become breadlike. I prefer ones that are thinner and are easier to bite. The Tostitos Thins reminded me very much of the freshly baked chips I could pick up at my favorite TexMex restaurants. Not too thick with just a hint of flavor to balance out with your food and your drink.
If you’d like to try the new Tostitos Thins chips, make sure you head over to your local Target store STAT. They are a “limited edition” chip and won’t be available starting in July.
