  • For me, good chips are sometimes hard to find. I’ve tried some new and exotic flavors but the just didn’t do the trick. When I had another opportunity to review Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips, memories of the sweetness that is their Sweet Maui Onion danced across my tastebuds and I just couldn’t resist.

    The Review

Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips - OriginalOnce again, I had the opportunity to try each of the four Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips – Original, Sweet Maui Onion, Luau BBQ, and Wasabi. However unlike last time, I was too slow in getting the picture of the Luau BBQ flavor chips. All it took was a couple of days and a visit from friends for that bag to be devoured and all that was left was an empty bag and declarations that it is the best BBQ flavored chip EVER.

Knowing what I was up against, I promptly grabbed the bag of Sweet Maui Onion flavor and squirreled it away in my office, safely out of sight, for my own snacking enjoyment. The sweet onion flavor was just as I remembered, this wonderful blend of sweet and salty that keeps you eating one after another. It takes will power to put the bag down, it really does.

If you’re more of a “traditional” chip kind of person, the Original Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips give you a great potato chip flavor with a hint of saltiness. For the more adventurous, the Wasabi chips pack a lot of horseradish and wasabi punch into each bite.

Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips - OriginalI love that with the Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips, you get to truly taste the crispy potato flavor. The flavoring is always just the right amount – never too much or too little. At the same time, each and every chip is crunchy, without any greasiness. These are chips that can sell purely on taste alone.

A new Mango Habanero flavor is coming to the line-up which is sure to blend the great sweetness from mangos and the spicy flavor of the peppers into one scrumptious bite. I’ll be sure to post here if I’m able to hunt the new flavor in my local store.

Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato chips is one of my favorite kettle chip brands to snack on, and the Sweet Maui Onion just might be the best chip I’ve ever eaten. If you’ve had the chance to try Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips, I’d love to know which is your favorite flavor.

To give your family a Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips treat, you can find them in your local grocery store. They’re also available for purchase in bulk from Amazon.com or from the Hawaiian Snacks online store.
