A few months ago, we had the opportunity to review the Linksys E4200 Wireless Router. The Linksys replaced an old router that consistently dropped connections and needed to be power cycled on an almost weekly basis. Since switching to the Linksys E4200, my wireless connection has been rock solid. Not only does it provide blazing fast wireless, but I love the convenience of guest accounts, the speed test, and the user friendly interface. Wireless internet wasn’t always a “given” here. Friends would come over for LAN parties (hey – I’ve said I was a nerd!) and we would literally have to power cycle the router every time someone needed to connect to the internet. That meant that we’d all have to lose internet, and then one by one, reconnect. It was a pain. Power cycling the router became a regular things. Not fun.
Ever since we upgraded to the new Linksys E4200 Maximum Performance Dual-Band N Router, I haven’t had to power cycle the router once. The internet connection hasn’t been lost and friends can get internet access just by connecting to my router’s guest user account. I like the screaming connectivity. I have two 24 y/o in the house with gaming consoles and laptops going 24/7, they crash my router all the time.
I like the simultaneous Dual-Band N
I like that you can connect anything to it, including gaming consoles, ereaders, hdtvs and more.
I learned it has a usb port for shared storage.
