You’d be surprised how dirty your water is. If you think about it, there are miles upon miles of pipes, underground, in the dark. A couple of years ago, we even did a water test, testing out different water sources. The result was that the company I worked with changed out all the filters in the break room. To help you get clean, great tasting water at home, check out the ZeroWater pitcher.

About ZeroWater

Enjoy pure-tasting water with the latest filter pitcher technology. ZeroWater’s 10-Cup Pitcher features a one-handle pull and pour spout to fill any bottle or cup easily. The underneath water filter assembly ensures waster passes through the filter and not around the filter. Space-saving design ensures easy fit in any refrigerator. The ZeroWater filtration system combines FIVE sophisticated technologies that work together to remove virtually all dissolved solids from your tap water, delivering you great tasting water.

The Review

There’s something in the water. Something that most of us don’t even realize is there and something that most of us are drinking every day. That something is TDS. TDS tands for Total Dissolved Solids – inorganic substances like salt, metals and other elements that are dissolved in our tap water. According to a chart from ZeroWater, most water in the United States has a TDS between 051-200 with a typical TDS of 240pp/m (parts per million.) In one month, you could be “drinking” over 8g of Total Dissolved Solids that were present in your drinking water.

ZeroWater Pitcher

The ZeroWater Pitcher is the only pitcher that is certified to meet the FDA’s standards for Purified Bottled Water and in fact may have fewer TDS than many bottled waters. The requirement for Purified Bottled Water is between 000-010 TDS. By filtering your drinking water using ZeroWater’s patented 5-stage water filter system, you can reduce the TDS of your water to 000. I decided to test my current drinking water using the included TDS meter and found the TDS to be 135 – not as high as some places but still not 000. I also drink water from the fridge, which goes through its own filter. There was no difference in TDS between tap and the filtered fridge water.

ZeroWater Pitcher

There are couple of cool things about the pitcher itself, besides its excellent filtering. It comes in a nice 10 cup size. With some pitchers, the capacity is so small it seems like after a couple of cups of water, you need to refill it. This pitcher will fit on the top shelf of your fridge (or wherever you keep your juices and milk.) I’d recommend on a shelf instead of one of the side storage areas because of the water spout. The water spout allows you to push a button and the water will pour out from just under the handle. It makes it very convenient for getting water.

There is a noticeable difference in taste. The ZeroWater pitcher produces water that is crisp and is how I picture pure mountain spring water to taste – only cleaner. After drinking the filtered water from the ZeroWater pitcher, it seemed like my normal drinking water was thicker and heavier to taste.

Part of me shudders to think how many dissolved solids I’ve been drinking over the years, but I feel better knowing that my ZeroWater pitcher will remove them all. If you would like to get your own ZeroWater pitcher, you can purchase it online from ZeroWater.com for $35.00 + $7.00 for shipping. Use coupon code MC30 to get 30% off a 10 Cup ZeroWater pitcher which brings the price down to $31.50 total.
