  • May is National Wine month, and adults across the country may be raising their glasses in celebration of how a glass of wine (in moderation of course) can help keep their hearts healthy. The benefits of wine have been touted for years, yet only a fraction of those who know the benefits of wine realize that what makes the wine so good for their heart is also present in Welch’s 100% Grape Juice.

    Welch's Grape Juice

Welch’s 100% Grape Juice is made with Concord grapes – the whole grape, including skin, sees, and everything in between. The Concord grape contains polyphenols, natural plant nutrients that act as antioxidants and offer other healthy benefits. Many of the polyphenols found on Concord grapes are the very same ones found in red wine.

Not only does it provide heart-healthy benefits, but one 8oz. glass of Welch’s 100% Grape Juice delivers two servings (1 cup) of fruit – all with no added sugar since it’s 100% juice. It’s also an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin C, delivering 120% of the recommended daily value per serving.

For more information about Welch’s 100% Grape Juice and how it can be a part of your healthy lifestyle, visit the Welch’s website at www.welchs.com. Make sure you check out the recipe section that is filled with delicious and easy-to-make recipes using Welch’s.

So what does this all mean? To help keep your heart, and the rest of your body, healthy, feel free to raise a glass, or two, or three of Welch’s 100% Grape Juice. Not only is it much cheaper per bottle, but it’s something you can enjoy with the kids to help encourage and teach them to make healthy drinking choices. Cheers!
