In the spirit of easy cooking & reasonably affordable meals, I wanted to share this recipe from theledger.com.
Cook 1/2 pound linguine according to package directions; drain and toss with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 5 slices cooked and crumbled bacon and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese.
Meanwhile, make white sauce by combining 2 tablespoons flour and 1 cup milk in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring often, until thickened.
Put pasta in ovenproof dish, top with white sauce and sprinkle with 1/4 cup more grated Parmesan cheese. Slide under a broiler and cook until bubbly and lightly browned.
Serve with salad and garlic bread.

I actually cooked this dish last week and thought it was delicious. Next time I cook it, I’m going to try adding breadcrumbs to the top for that extra little kick. Also, I had trouble finding a dish that would let me broil, so I just baked at 375 until it looked brown.

Been looking for a good linguine recipe that my husband would actually eat…gonna have to try this! I also like that you have your own white sauce recipe most people use heavy cream to make theirs, this seems a little lighter.
Yes, thank you! I’m so in love with baked pasta!
This sounds nice and quick! We use goat milk & goat milk cheese for allergy reasons.
