  • Orzo Pilaf
    (Serves 4-6)

    Ingredients:

    1/4 cup margarine
    1/2 cup orzo pasta
    1 chopped onion
    1 cup rice
    2 1/4 cups chicken broth

    Directions:
    1. Brown orzo and onion in margarine over med-hi heat.
    2. Add rice, broth and a dash of pepper and salt.
    3. Bring back to a full boil, then cover, lower heat, and simmer for 20 minutes.

      I love pilaf and I am going to have to fix this for my family — it goes excellently with salmon or fish dishes
