Montana isn’t exactly known for it’s culinary prowess. They’re more BBQ and buffalo than beef bourguignon or bolognese. As someone who is used to living in diverse cities that have a lot of diverse flavors, sometimes you get a hankering for more exotic flavors. One solution to get authentic tasting Asian cuisine is to use Prima Taste.
Amazing Singapore Kebab Chicken Satay
Prima Taste offers a variety of products that you can use to bring a taste of Asia to your kitchen. The Prima Taste Singapore Kebab Satay kit contains the mixes and sauces you would need to cook up a flavorful chicken satay. Chicken satay is one of my favorite appetizers and I would often drench my rice in the peanut sauce. My expectations were high as I was preparing the Singapore Satay Kit.
First, mix pieces of chicken into the marinade and let it marinate overnight – the longer the better.
After the chicken has marinated, place the chicken on bamboo skewers and then grill. You can also use a saute pan if a grill isn’t available.
As the chicken is cooking, you use the included sauce mix and peanut sauce to make the dipping sauce for the skewers. Once you’re done, you have a plate of DELICIOUS chicken satay with a sauce that is so good, you’ll almost eat it by itself.
It has some great heat, but isn’t too hot, and tastes just like the satay I’d pay $10 for at an authentic restaurant. I’ve already stocked up on these and will be making more – often.
Mmmmm Rendang Beef Curry
Another dish that was easy to prepare and was absolutely yummy was the Prima Taste Rendang Curry kit. Again, the Prima Taste kit does all the hard work – which is the sauce. Mix up the curry sauce and add some browned beef.
Serve this curry over rice and you have another dish that tastes like it came straight from a Singapore kitchen. The curry flavors with a coconut are both spicy and sweet. It gives you a nice punch of flavor but doesn’t overwhelm you. Even the rice that is topped with the curry sauce tastes gourmet.
I love that Prima Taste enables me to create such flavorful, Asian dishes here in the Rocky Mountains. The dishes taste authentic and are so easy to prepare. Even the picky eaters in the house enjoyed all of the Prima Taste dishes.

Gold Kili Ginger Drinks
To go along with Prima Taste, you can try one of the Gold Kili ginger drinks. Ginger is a common ingredient in Asian cuisine, and is also well known for it’s many health benefits. Ginger ale used to be my go-to drink when my tummy hurt as a child. As an adult, if I’m feeling a little queasy, I prepare a mug of Gold Kili All Natural Ginger Beverage.
Gold Kili is a ginger drink – not a tea, so it’s definitely a potent drink. You’ll get a nice kick, almost a spicy feel, when you enjoy this drink. These drinks are easy to prepare, coming in both a powdered form as well as a tea bag. They can be enjoyed hot or cold. If you’re not used to the strong ginger flavor, you can try reducing the amount of powder you use when you make the drink. I found a spoonful of sugar added to my hot Gold Kili helped to make the flavor a little more mild as well.
