  • Last week, I talked about Safeway’s June Dairy Month. For the month of June, purchase $40 of qualifying dairy products from Safeway (and that’s more than just milk, it’s also cheese, Pillsbury, ice cream – lots of goodies,) and you’ll receive two free movie tickets to see the new Ice Age 4: Continental Drift movie as part of the June Dairy Movies promotion. Note that you will need to make sure you’re a Safeway affiliate card member to earn towards your free tickets. If you aren’t currently a card holder, you can ask your cashier for a form. It takes just a few minutes to sign-up and it’s totally free. Plus you’ll be eligible for all of the club prices on products, so really it’s win-win.

    Free Movie Tickets

Make sure you keep your eye out for the June Dairy stickers on qualifying products. The bottom of your Safeway receipt will tell you how much you’ve earned towards the $40, and once you hit $40, this special voucher will print out along with your receipt. Remember, you have the whole month of June to earn the $40, so don’t feel the need to buy everything at once.

June Dairy Month Sticker on Ice Cream

We’re a movie family. I love heading out to the theater, picking up a big tub of popcorn and a cherry Icee, and settling down in the seats to enjoy a good film, so receiving two free tickets to watch a new movie was like icing on my cake.

Redeeming the voucher for free tickets is easy. First you’ll go to the website specified on the voucher – www.ActivateRewards.com/JuneDairyMovies. On the site, you’ll enter the code on your voucher. My code expires on July 31, 2012 and the movie certificate expires on August 31, 2012, so be sure you check expiration dates.

    Redeem Free Tickets

After you enter the voucher code and information, the site will search for theaters near you. There were two theaters near me and I chose the one that I prefer to go to. Once you confirm your selection, you’ll fill out a short survey and then will be taken to a page where you can print your movie certificates. The whole process took me less than a minute and it was easy peasy to get my voucher for two free tickets to see Ice Age: Continental Drift (up to $26 value!)

If you’ve been needing to purchase items from the dairy aisle, this month is the time to do it! Just pick up what you need and start earning your way towards two free movie tickets.

For a few ideas of things to make with all those dairy items, you can check out the Easy Home Meals website and Easy Home Meals Facebook Page.

I hope to see you at the movies!

Do you have to see Ice Age, or will the voucher work for two tickets at that theater no matter what the movie?
