Starbucks Ice Cream – Review

I am a proud card carrying member of a Starbucks Gold card. To get a Starbucks Gold Card, it means you have to have spent more money than you’d probably admit to in visits to your corner Starbuck’s. It also means that you probably like Starbucks…a lot. And I do. As if I wasn’t getting enough of a ‘bucks fix in the mornings, now I have a great way to enjoy my favorite Starbuck’s flavors as an afternoon or evening treat with the Starbucks Ice Creams.

About Starbucks Ice Cream

Starbucks Ice Cream

Starbucks’ line of super-premium ice cream is inspired by your favorite Starbucks beverages. With seven creamy flavors – like Java Chip, Frappuccino and Signature Hot Chocolate – you can indulge in a Starbucks treat right from the comfort of your home. Conveniently sold at your local grocery store, you won’t have to make an extra trip to try these delicious flavors.

The Review

This trip to the freezer aisle was more difficult than most. While you would think shopping for ice cream would be easy, it becomes exponentially hard when you have to choose between a bunch of your favorite flavors. Starbucks offers 8 flavors of ice cream, some with and some without coffee. Some of my favorite drinks are available in frozen dairy form with Peppermint Mocha, Java Chip Frappacino, and Signature Hot Chocolate.

After quite a few minutes of pondering my options, I opted for two coffee-free options – Strawberries and Creme Frappacino and Signature Hot Chocolate. The Strawberries and Creme Frappacino option is a Limited Edition flavor available only during spring and summer, so I had to try it before it went away. And I was so glad that I did.

Starbucks Ice CreamThe strawberry flavor is so fresh and clean and it blends nicely with the smooth cream flavor from the vanilla swirl. Signature Hot Chocolate is one of my favorite drinks during the cold months and I loved that I could enjoy that same flavor while it’s warm outside. The signature Hot Chocolate chocolate ice cream is a deep chocolate flavor that is highlighted with a lovely, thick fudge swirl. There is a bit of vanilla blended in, but mostly I tasted the rich chocolate flavor.

If you love Starbucks or you love ice cream, then you can get the  best of both worlds with Starbucks Ice Cream. Check out the website to see all great ice cream flavors and use the locator to find them at the store nearest you.

  • YUM! My dad loved the Starbucks ice cream… He is the one who introduced me to it! There are more flavors now though, than when we first had it. I’ll have to try the new ones! =)
