I got an iPad for Christmas. While it’s totally awesome, there was one thing I missed – a real keyboard. There are some people who can type on screen keyboards amazingly fast, and though I can hold my own at tappity-tapping the screen, it still can’t match my typing speed when I use a keyboard. The solution – Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover.

As the name suggests, the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is both a keyboard and a cover for your iPad. It’s made of a matching silver aluminum that, when attached to the iPad, makes the entire thing look like a silver book. Very sleek and very high-tech.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover attaches to the side of your iPad using a magnet. Place it along the side of your iPad and it snaps into place with a satisfying click. The keyboard will fold over so that it covers the screen of your iPad when you aren’t using it. The magnet holding it in place is strong enough to be a secure cover, it’s not so strong that it’s hard to take the keyboard cover off for use.

When you’re ready to start typing, you can place your iPad in a slot that’s just above the keys. This will tilt the iPad at an angle so you can see the screen and type at the same time. This keyboard has a great feel for typing. if you’ve typed on laptops and appreciated the softness and ease of pressing keys, the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover feels the same way. It has made typing on my iPad much easier and more convenient.

The Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover syncs to your iPad using a Bluetooth connection and is powered by a rechareable battery that offers up to 6 months of typing on the keyboard off a full charge. All this while still earning it’s “ultrathin” name. It just a 1/4″ or so thick which means my iPad still stays thin and compact, even when the Logitech Ultrathin Keyboard Cover is attached.
