• I love going on vacations. I love every aspect of vacations, from the planning to the adventuring to the recovering (from the vacation, of course.) Usually when we visit a new locale, we have some sort of recommendation or referral about things to do or places to see.

While some travel sites offer generic “things to do” for most destinations, Gogobot uses the advice of your friends, family, and connections to help you plan the best trip possible. I decided to use Gogobot to help plan a vacation to Seattle, Washington (which may or may not have something to do with this season of Top Chef…or the fact that it’s a lot cheaper to fly there than to Europe.)

    Good Morning Seattle!!!

Using Gogobot, I am easily able to find places to stay, rentals, top restaurants, and fun things to do. After browsing their site I think I’ve created a fun itinerary that will give us a taste of the town without breaking the bank.

First off, I think we’d be staying at the W Seattle Hotel. With 4.5 stars, you know it’s a great deal and coming in at $78/night, it’s a total bargain. It’s ranked #1 and looks like it’s an amazing hotel. If you want to stay in another part of town, you can also browse the other 200+ Seattle hotels.

Of course, when you’re in Seattle, you’ll need to check out Pike Place Market and the Space Needle – ranked #1 and #2 in things to do on Gogobot. After browsing their list of over 500 other things to do in Seattle, I think I’d also like to check out the Pacific Science Center and take a cruise on the lake with Argosy Cruises.

    Pacific Science Center, Seattle

It’s a little funny to talk about food in Seattle without talking about seafood, but since some of us aren’t quite as adventurous as others when it comes to food, I’m looking restaurants that are excellent – whether or not you order the fish. Again, Gogobot lists hundreds of restaurant choices that I can filter by cuisine. I definitely think I’d like to try Beechers Handmade Cheese, which should be easy since it’s near Pike Place Market. Apparently they have amazing Mac & Cheese. And since we’re coffee drinkers, I definitely want to check out the original Starbucks!

I never realized how much there was to do in Seattle and how there are many affordable options for those of us who might be on a budget. Gogobot makes it easy to find everything you might want to about a city and offers real, thought-out reviews that actually add value and can help with planning. Before you head out on your next trip, take a visit to Gogobot.

I would love to be able to take a trip to Seattle. I have seen amazing pictures of it and a lot of interesting places. I find that when I am on vacation it is always nice to go to a grocery store or something similar where you can ask locals what they would visit in their city. You can find hidden restaurants and attractions this way.
