OK, I don’t normally make pitches like this on the blog, but Ebates has just started a special referral promotion and they were able to entice me to do a special post to try to convince you, my readers, to join Ebates. I’ve talked about Ebates before in my post comparing Ebates with sites such as Bing and Shop At Home, as well as comparing it to Discover Shop. Ultimately, if you do a lot of shopping online, I believe you should have accounts at multiple cashback sites and then do your shopping through the site that gives you the most cash back.

I honestly do use Ebates….frequently. I recently took advantage of their 20% cash back offer at gap.com. To date, I have gotten $81.13 back from Ebates, not including the $10 gift card I received when I signed up. That is seriously nothing to sneeze at, especially since I was going to buy the things I bought anyways. Anything to put money back into my pocket is a good thing.

Here’s the deal, between now and July 31, 2010, every person who signs up for Ebates using THIS LINK will get both of us $5 cash back. Yup, that’s $5 free cash right into your account. PLUS, if 50 of you sign-up through my referral link and make a $20 or more purchase by August 10, 2010, then I could get an Apple iPad or $500!
