Last week, we posted about a new program, called the WiC Chicks (or Chucks.) The concept is simple – we work with our loyal readers to test products and post useful reviews. Well, after several of you emailed us and commented that you were looking forward to the program, we decided to kick start it now and give it a go.
For this initial run, we will open up registration to the first 100 readers. Since this is our first time trying something like this, I should mention that there may be some hiccups or things we’ll need to figure out together as we work through everything. Consider this beta testing and the people who sign-up first will be the beta-testers! Wahoo (right?) 🙂
Once we have our list of testers, I will send review opportunities to select readers, based off the information that you provide during the registration process. Then we will select the lucky reviewer from the readers who have responded to receive the product. If you are selected, I may ask you to sign some sort of agreement to make sure we agree on how the product and the review will be handled. Please make sure to only accept products you will actually review, because if you receive a product and fail to hand in a thorough review, I will likely blacklist you, which is never good.
Remember, that unlike other programs where you may need to write a review, we just want your feedback. You can email us bulleted lists, sentence fragments, full paragraphs, or an essay (if you want – as long as you provide lots of detail!) Then we will take your feedback and turn it into a review. I hope that many of you will find this to be more convenient by cutting back on the amount of researching and writing you’ll need to do.
OK, so now that I’ve gone over the program a little more, and hopefully you are all revved up and excited….
If this sounds like a program you would like to participate in, then make sure that you are a commenter, subscriber, follower on Twitter, and/or Like us on Facebook since those may be criteria we use to select the reviewer from the pool. To become a WiC Chick (or Chuck), please fill out this registration form. Registration will close after the first 100 people.
