You might not believe it, but it is more than possible to achieve a satisfactory work-life balance. The question is how do you do it and will you? We are so socially conditioned to think that stopping to relax or take time out is lazy and unproductive, so we fill our days with work before collapsing into bed on an evening, and rinse repeat the next day. This makes our lives harder and more stressful and prevents us from really living our lives in the way that we want.

Learn to say no
If you are going to point the finger of blame at anyone here, we believe you should start with yourself. When it comes to overworking ourselves, we can be our own worst enemy, and then we moan that we never have enough time to spend with our friends or family! So, to avoid overloading, there is a sort of code that you can follow. For starters, work stays at work. Unless specifically requested, and even then, you are free to decline, you are not required to bring work home with you. Life would be a lot easier if you didn’t. Second, many people strive to fill their free time outside of work by seeing as many people as they can in one evening. This is a bad habit that must be broken. Try to attempt to set aside one day where all you do is have some me time.
Find a job that you enjoy and facilitates a work/life balance
If you are the type of person who always takes work home because they ask you to, it is worth considering whether your employer is asking too much of you. There are numerous occupations available that will suit a dedicated and organized individual while allowing work to stay at work! Manage your time outside of work
Managing your time away from work begins before you even get at work. Because if you come home and have to do all of the kitchen preparation, cooking, and cleanup, your night will be over before you realise it! So, try to do things when you wake up so that your tasks are minimal when you come home.
It will be a lot more calming to do it in the morning rather than after a long day at work. You could even stick to a timetable or chore chart to remind yourself of what you need to do at that moment. It will simply provide you with something more structured to adhere to.
