‘Tis the season of gift-giving, and making pretty bows to give your gift a little extra pizzazz to stand out is always fun. Sometimes, trying to make a bow can be difficult, and the solution is BOWDABRA! Created by Sandy Sandler, this bow making tool has been the secret for many “bow-challenged” people.
Bowdabra is easy to use, goof-proof, inexpensive, and will take your gifts from blah to wow! Available in three different sizes: large, mini, and hairbow; you’re bound to find one or more to fit your needs.
Bowdabra is a simple tool, no assembly required for the unit, comes with instructions in three languages, step-by-step tutorials, and pictures. It’s so easy. I received the Mini Bowdabra and Wand kit in a box.
I made a Fold Bow (red, white, and blue) and a Scrunchy Bow (yellow) in minutes. Each kit also comes with an invitation code for VIP membership on the bowdabra.com website.
I also had the opportunity to interview Sandy Sandler:
Q: What motivates you to keep going in your entrepreneurship?
A: My customers! They are amazing and they motivate me to keep creating and keep my business going! I love how I get to communicate with them on my Bowdabra Monday Facebook lives, our facebook groups, YouTube, and other social media platforms. There is nothing better than having someone tell me how much they love the Bowdabra and how creative they feel when they use it. This positive reinforcement really helps!
Q: How do you come up with ideas, finding the perfect products to fulfill a niche in the marketplace, especially ones which last a long time?
A: I look for common tasks that are complicated to do or achieve and try to find a simple solution that solves the problem.
Q: Tell us a little about Crafters 4 Kids and how it became one of your passions?
A: Children today spend so much time in front of “screens.” Schools have stopped arts and crafts classes. The role of parenting has been left to computers, television, electronic games, and iPods. The ultimate goal of Crafters 4 Kids (C4K) is to help families return to a “Family Unit” based on the idea of “getting back to the basics” while focusing on “family time”. C4K’s vision is to make family crafting a project that will not only work at home but also become a permanent fixture at the elementary levels of every school in the country. With budget cuts eliminating classes like arts and crafts, home economics, and shop, C4K has developed and is implementing a program that will sponsor and make these programs possible once again.
Q: What do you want our readers to know about you?
A: I am extremely passionate about helping young entrepreneurs succeed in business. I teach business marketing at the college level and my students amaze me every day with their ambition and creativity. These young people are the future and I am so grateful and honored to be in a position to help them.
Q: Any advice for crafters?
A: Share your love of crafting with a niece, nephew, grandchild, neighbors kids. Getting children involved in crafts is so important. It’s a healthy and therapeutic activity with proven emotional and physical wellness benefits. Crafting stimulates the brain and helps with the development of fine and gross motor skills. It also provides a sense of accomplishment and relaxation.
