I think many of us know Clifford. Whether we met him in elementary school or at home, many of us loved hearing of Clifford’s adventures. Who knew a Big Red Dog could be so fun to read about. Not only that, but that spunky red dog has been helping our children, and helped us, learn simple life lessons about being kind, sharing, and so many other important values. This year is Clifford the Big Red Dog’s 50th birthday – 50 years of Clifford the Big Red Dog sharing his adventures and stories.
To celebrate this milestone, Scholastic is throwing a birthday celebration where Clifford fans can win an amazing Clifford the Big Red Dog Birthday Prize Pack as well as a chance to win a Clifford-themed birthday party for you and up to 50 of your closest friends in the Clifford’s BIG Birthday Sweepstakes! To enter to the Clifford’s BIG Birthday Sweepstakes, head over to www.scholastic.com/clifford where you can enter as well as send Clifford a personalized birthday card.
In celebration of Clifford’s huge milestone, I encourage you to take some time to read with your child. Whether it’s those special moments before bedtime or just because in the middle of the afternoon, reading with your child can not only improve their reading skills but help grow their imaginations.
