Sometimes we may forget that the men in our lives have to do a little grooming too. Whether it’s trimming a beard or avoiding the five o’clock shadow, the men might even groom more than women! (OK, probably not.) Shaving is one of those things where it’s immediately noticeable if your skip it (unlike washing your hair where you could probably last a day or two.) As a daily ritual for many men, having the right tools and some handy tricks can make their grooming a little easier.
Several months ago, we had a mini-shaving revolution when we received a fogless shower mirror that allowed Gil to reduce his grooming time by being able to shave in the shower. The mirror even lit up so he was able to make sure he didn’t miss a spot.
Check out this video from Gillette and Dollar general for some more shaving tips from celebrity stylist Marcus Geeter:

If you are woman with coarse leg hair, save shaving your legs and underarms towards the end of your shower. The hair softens making it for an easier shave. Make sure to use conditioner or a moisturizing soap. This not only makes your legs softer, but the hair softer. I prefer to use a men’s razor, like the Gillette Mach 3. There are more blades and seem to be sharp enough to take down coarse hair. Your shave is smooth and saves you from the nicks on your legs. 🙂
Never forget to moisturizer skin after shaving, use cream to shave.
always use a sharp razer
Use a fresh razor every time you shave and shave with the hair growth not against it to help cut down on nicks and ingrown hairs
Take a bath and shave after a few minutes. Makes a big difference.
do not use a dull razor.
Soak your legs in warm water but not too long or your skin will swell and your shave will not get as close!
if you dont have shaving cream you can use lotion
Exfoliate and moisturize the skin.
Put moisturizer on within 3 minutes of getting out of the shower…that’s the best time window to get optimum moisture into your skin and slow hair growth.
Never shave the day you are going to the beach !
moisturize your skin before and after shaving
Venus is the best razor to shave with! I have tried many and I love the Venus. I also agree never shave before going to the beach. Make sure you shave at least a day or two before or you will end up with a horrid rash.
