Sucrets is one of those brands that has been around for awhile. I remember backing when I was a kid, carrying around a Sucrets tin at school when I had a cold. Back in those days, each Sucrets was individually wrapped and then was stored safely in the tin. In fact, Sucrets pioneered that famous tin box back in 1931. Now, Sucrets is back with those familiar tins and its familiar sore throat soothing power!
About Sucrets
The Review by WiC Chick Karieann of And Here’s My Two Cents
(with some comments/edits by The WiC Project)
Seeing the Sucrets sent my mind on a nostalgia trip to the past. I remembered using these lozenges long ago – as far back as the Seventies! When I opened my package, I was taken aback with the fresh new look of the tins. I love them! I remembered the tins in the past and that the lozenges were individually wrapped in foil-like wrappers then. Now the tins look cool and the lozenges are packaged in plastic foil packs where you push one through the foil backing.
On this day of the arrival of the Sucrets, beside noticing the tins in their new fresh design, there were two different formulas for me to try. One was Sucrets Classic, which is made for relieving pain from sore throats or sore mouths. The other is the Sucrets Complete, which offers relief for sore throats, cough and stuffiness. Sucrets Classic lozenges are available in Wild Cherry flavor and Sucrets Complete comes in Vapor Cherry and Cool Citrus flavors.
I just happened to have a mild stuffy nose and tried one of the Sucrets “Complete” in Vapor Cherry. Within three to five minutes, my nasal passages cleared up and I stopped sniffling. The taste was just as I remembered, pleasant and left a tingling sensation in my mouth. I gave one to my husband to try also. He does not recall ever having tried Sucrets. He had a mild stuffiness as well (maybe it was the weather.) He commented on how quickly the stuffiness disappeared for him too. Talk about fast-acting relief.
I am happy that we had this opportunity and chance of trying Sucrets. There is no need for me to go looking for the so-called “new and improved” products because Sucrets worked for me, as usual. Another, completely un-medical perk to Sucrets – the tins! They are reusable for many things and are great little containers that can be used over and over for many years to come. That is economical and friendly for the environment!
“Thank You” to the folks at Sucrets for reminding me that some things are still good as they were years ago!
If you would like to purchase Sucrets in preparation for the winter season, you can find them in drug and grocery stores near you, from $3.49 – $4.99. In addition to Classic and Complete, you can also try Sucrets Herbal formula, which contains green tea and Vitamin C.
