A wedding day can be as traditional or non-traditional as you like, and there’s no fault in choosing either one of those. Of course, there may be something wrong in feeling obligated to choose a traditional wedding even if you’re nowhere near interested in having one, and there may be a problem with subverting all tradition just because you don’t want to be seen as boring. Whatever you do, make sure you’re doing it for the right reasons. This is your special day.

But of course, it can be hard to know what we’d even decide on if we could choose anything without fear of judgment. Well, you don’t have to fear. Couples have Star Wars-themed weddings all the time, and some even bungee jump after tying the knot. Nothing you can do can be weirder than what someone else has tried. But is it really all about being weird and zany, or just feeling empowered to express your joint personality as a couple in your wedding day? In this post, and with wedding sweepstakes, you may just be able to identify and implement your indulgences is the best possible way:
Specific Catering Desires
Its very easy to think that we need to opt for traditional food that will appeal to absolutely everyone. Of course, it’s not hard to see why that’s a worthwhile use of your time. That said, sometimes, it’s true that specific catering desires can better represent who you are as a couple, and as a family.
For instance, perhaps you hope to go all out on the desert section this year, making your catering more of a sweet tooth event than usual. Or, perhaps you hope to only have food that resembles your culture and its beautiful fragrant recipes, opting for specific catering companies that will provide that despite the gorgeous aromatic smells. Don’t be afraid to ask, you deserve to eat well on your wedding day.
Invest In That Which You Enjoy
Investing in whatever makes you happy is important. Remember the day is there to celebrate you and your partner, no one else. So, perhaps instead of the standard band, you opt for bringing in a team of magicians to put on a show in the courtyard after the service. Or, maybe you’re interested in getting married on a beach and then immediately spending some time jet-skiing. This may sound silly, but you’d be thoroughly surprised just how worthwhile this approach can be.
Curate Your Invite List Appropriately
It’s not uncommon for a married couple to feel as though they’re obligated to invite absolutely everyone they know, but of course, that raises costs, and sometimes it means that you have to spend time with people you only partially know. Don’t be afraid to curtail your invite list as much or as little as you like, and to make sure that only those who you really want there are there. For instance, if you’re not interested in having children at the event, then that might seem harsh, but it can certainly help you enjoy a smoother day, and that’s totally your right. Whatever you select, make sure you have good reasoning and that you will truly enjoy that added consideration.
With this advice, we hope you can elevate your wedding day with a few direct and useful indulgences.
