This video was the discussion at our Church’s youth group last Sunday.
Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior!
I watched this video. The gentleman in the video fails to state that we must put off all sin to follow Christ. Faith without works is dead. Sin is not the same thing as works. The way this young man presents this, one would think that sin is works therefore one does not have to do anything about their sins to be saved. If we call on Jesus in word of our mouth only, and fail to walk unrightly, we are merely hypocrites. He is so busy “rhyming” and trying to sound “cute” for this video that he fails to clarify well what the unsaved need to know. Many are out here shouting Jesus Jesus, and still living in sin. Jesus states he will tell them “I know you not”. Works are such as feeding the hungry, sheltering the homeless, helping that crippled elderly man or lady across the street..we do this in faith, in hope of the salvation of Jesus Christ. We honor God and show who God is by these things. Works alone cannot save us if we do not acknowledge Jesus Christ as the son of God as our salvation, the forgiver of our sins. Works and Faith go hand in hand. True our salvation comes by grace but we must have the love of God in our hearts which Abraham had. Abraham walked in obedience to God. He was righteous as he did not doubt God, but believed his word to the fullest, without compromise in that belief. If we “call” on Jesus in word, but then go practice sex outside of marriage, we have not believed God’s word in the fullest that this type of choice, attitude, behavior is wrong and detrimental to ourselves and others. This man makes it sound like one can go on living in sin as long as he says he believes in Jesus. So I find the video very weak. I was hoping otherwise, as I like to pass good stuff around. This one, I won’t.
this was very good, im goign to show my son.
My answer is neither. I’m an Atheist.
I have to admit i believe what that young man said I love Jesus and God but always felt church should be held under the sky and money should go to the poor.
Boy what an eye opener. I love his message and fully agree. I love you Jesus, you are my lord and savior.
