You might remember a post I wrote a few weeks ago touching upon the effects of wearing a short skirt. The post, “The Attack of the Too Short Skirts – BAN THE HOOCHIE SKIRT” broke down that the shorter the skirt a woman wears, the less respect she can get. The truth of the matter is that you can’t be perceived as a respectable woman if you wear a skirt akin to what a stripper or a prostitute would wear. That would be like saying someone who
Many of you shared your comments on the subject, mostly agreeing that skirts are too short these days. Several of you also pointed out that it’s not just adult women who are wearing the fashion infraction, it’s also young girls who are dressings themselves up to be the fantasy of every child molester in the neighborhood (and believe me, they’re there – 25 in my neighborhood – eek!) While that doesn’t seem wise to me, we recently got a comment from a reader who offers another perspective.

I Cannot believe all these prudes. If any of you read a fashion magazine you would know short is in… If you have cottage cheese theighs then you shouldn’t be wearing a short skirt. There is no reason why you should hate on the cute 20 something year olds that they look great on… HATERS!
I know I have my initial thoughts on her comment but wanted to give you guys the opportunity to share as well as we seek to find the higher truth. So….what do you think? Is suggesting we ban the hoochie skirt being prudish or being a hater?
Coming from a man, I've found that hoochies will always think that everyone else is a prude. That's what hoochies are programmed to think. It's human nature for people who operate on lower standards to ridicule those who live by higher ones. It's just a coping mechanism.
Miriam, keep on postin and folks will keep on readin:)
Coming from the perspective of another man….I'm in total agreement with your post about hoochie skirts. It’s true; men like to look at women’s bodies. That doesn’t mean we like to do it for respectable reasons.
There’s a difference between a guy looking for “a good time” and a guy looking for a close friend to share things with. Women who attract attention using their womanly wiles and provocative sex appeal will receive the immediate attention they’re looking for. They will get the attention, but it will cost them the respect and wholesome intent they deserve.
In the end, when the man decides he wants another “pretty lil thing” under his arm, that same woman will be left scouring the networks for another man. She’ll never get the respect she deserves because she doesn’t have it for herself.
And let’s not talk about the first time she starts “acting ugly” and then blaming it on her time of the month. It takes more than a pretty face and a nice body to keep a man interested when he knows he’s gonna have to deal with PMS. She better have more going for her than just good looks.
Woman might not know this, but men categorize woman. There’s a difference between a fun woman to date and hang-out with and a woman to have a potentially serious relationship with. If the man is lucky, he can find both aspects in one woman. If he’s not so lucky, he’ll settle for 1 out of 2 and it doesn’t matter which one. One thing is for sure…every man has heard the term “never make a Ho a housewife” (my apologies for the harsh language). Let’s be honest with the woman men….most of them will never go home to meet moms (unless you're doing it to make them “feel special”). This might seem shallow, but oh well…its true.
As for the comment made by the lady calling people haters and prudes….. Who cares what she thinks? I mean seriously, she already admits her personal appearance is dictated by fashion magazines. In truth, I should just rest my case now. That fact alone should be enough for any intelligent person to see what type of woman she is. But… a blind man can see that she’s a part of the problem. That mentality alone is the very manifestation of the warped thinking that’s being perpetuated in the first place.
It’s the silliest thing I’ve ever heard. Women want to walk around arousing the carnal instincts in men who look at them, BUT at the same time they want to be treated with respect. YEAH RIGHT, not gonna happen. Any respect you think you’re receiving is all a lie because most men don’t have respectful thoughts about women who flare up their sexual desires. They have lustful thoughts and the only thing they’re interested in doing is fulfilling those desires when they make their move. It’s not the personality or the modest/classy attire that brought them to this moment. It’s the advertising of their bodies that’s attracting all the attention.
Don’t dangle a piece of steak in front of a hungry pit-bull (carnal nature of men) and then wonder why he’s not acting like the poodle you thought he was.
Miram, KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK. There are many of us out here who love your posts.
Peace and blessings
anonymous should learn how to spell, second, if your skirt is that short and you sit down, you're wiping your derriere on my furniture and I'd prefer that you use toilet paper instead. I'm not a prude if I can see your hoohaa or cheeks (or that of your little girl).
Children, shorts skirts are a no go until 16. These little 8 year old fashionistas popping up everywhere, I just don't get it. Go roll around in the grass, catch tadpoles or something.
For adults.. How short is Hoochie? Once you start having to watch your clothing as you bend over that's my limit. But I wore a short skirt to an interview and it worked fantastic. I looked professional, but I looked good, and ta-da, I was noticed and hired! As long as the total outfit looks professional and your bum isn't falling out the bottom I saw you're fine. Men will check out a good looking woman and come to their own conclusions whether or not she's wearing a short skirt.
Coming from a younger women…I can honestly say I have never worn a skirt that is too short. Skirts I wear are either at my knees or slightly above them (I then wear leggings under my skirts). From a very young age I have noted how men give unwanted attention to women in short skirts. I even have put shorts under dresses/skirts below my knees. As for age …women/parents who alow there daughters to wear short skirts are idiotic, and women who say “Oh lil boys don't pay attention to little girls” truly need to open their eyes. I can not tell how many times I have seen little boys go under monkey bars just to get a glimpse of the girls undies.
Now for women with “Cottage cheese thighs” I have to say that that doesn't really bother me to see but I really would prefer not to. This does not just go for fat women, but for all women.Whether you're in a skirt/bathing suit/shorts or whatever… I do not think many people “need” (Scratch that) want to see your thighs whether they're attractive or not.
I was really suprised to see this post! I mean finally someone is saying everything that I am thinking. 🙂
