One of the things I’ve been wanting to do is update our home’s décor a little bit. But, admittedly, I’m not the most stylish person and interior design is not my forté. Then, when our only local home decor shut down, it made things harder as their store displays and stylings often helped give me ideas for our home. So when I learned that there was a subscription box – Decocrated – that would actually make decorating my home easy, I knew I had to try it. And I must say, I haven’t been this excited about a subscription box in a long, long time.
I received a complimentary Summer 2021 Decocrated subscription box for the purposes of writing this review. All opinions are my own.

Decocrated Box Review
I received the Summer 2021 Decocrated box to review. First off, the Decocrated subscription box is HUGE. Definitely do not expect this to fit in your mailbox.
I love the bright colors and the invitation to open the box. I also appreciated the obvious care they took to package each item, ensuring it would arrive safely in one piece. Each item is packaged carefully in its own cardboard box.
Now that we’ve covered the unboxing, let’s take a closer look at what’s inside the Summer 2021 Decocrated box. There were 6 pieces in the Decocrated Summer 2021 box –
- 1 Seasonal Accent Piece
- 2 Utility/Organizational Pieces
- 3 Everyday Home Accents
The Art Print – “Add a dash of sunshine to your spice with our double-sided art print, featuring our signature bee illustration on one side and a motivational quote on the other.”
The Wood Bee – “Looking for the right accent for your wall this season? Our life-like wood bee is here to do the trick. Make a stylish statement by hanging this friendly bee on the wall, leaning it on your mantle, or resting it upon the art print.”
The Lumbar Pillow – “If you’re into patterns and anything blue, you won’t be disappointed with this double-sided pillow! The boho pattern in indigo blue gives you just the right amount of brightness, while the other side of this pillow features a lemon, floral, and bee pattern, great for relaxing during a sun-filled afternoon.
The Boho Basket – “Imagine a woven basket made from natural material with blue accent edging sitting in a corner of your living room holding all the cozy throws. Well, imagine no more! The boho basket is here to make your dreams come true. Sit this basket in any room for an organized yet fresh look this season.”
The Table Clock – “Who says clocks are out of style? This metal table clock might appear small but it’s anything but. The faux leather hanger and black finish turns this seemingly ordinary clock into a functional yet stylish accent.”
The Wall Ledge – “Never quite got around to spring cleaning? We’ve got the perfect little ledge for you. Our white-washed ledge can help you organize your books, add memorabilia to your space, or just hang on its own with floral arrangements. Either way, it’s easy to assemble and can help you de-clutter”
The Wood Arch – “Thriving in a cherry-woody finish, this mini wood arch is sure to make a statement this season. The gorgeous arch and black metal accents make it easy to incorporate into any decor or DIY your way to a fresh look. No matter how you style, this arch will add a dramatic flair to any room.”
To say I was impressed would be an understatement. I honestly had a lot of questions about the quality of the items in the box (because really, less than $80 for 8 different decor items seems like too good of a deal) and whether the items would fit in with our current decor. And with the first item I unboxed, all of those questions disappeared.
I thought that every home décor piece featured in the box was well-made, unique, and stylish. Everything does seem very neutral-oriented in that they could work with multiple styles of interior design or decor. Nothing was too modern nor too rustic for our tastes. And I could easily envision each piece from the Decocrated box in multiple rooms of our home.
I also found the Decocrated Styling Guide very useful. It gave multiple ideas for how to use each of the items and even a suggested color palette and theme for the season. I loved seeing examples of how the items could be used in different rooms, with different textures, and with each other.
Is the Decocrated Home Decor Box Worth It? The Final Verdict
Absolutely. I am in love with the Decocrated subscription box. Some boxes leave you wondering whether or not the items you received are “worth” it. Based on the items I received in the Summer box, Decocrated is most definitely worth it. In fact, I kind of think that getting everything for as low as $65.62 a box is a steal. I haven’t done an actual valuation of the items in the box, but based on the high quality and construction of the items and materials used, there’s no question in my mind that the value exceeds $200.
Prior to receiving the box, I was curious whether they would be able to find home decor items that would fit in my home. The decorating experts at Decocrated did an excellent job choosing items that would easily fit most home decor styles.
If you want an easy way to freshen up your home’s style and décor, Decocrated is the subscription box is for you.
