If you recall, last week I took a stand against pre-washing dishes. I refused to rinse the dishes as I started loading up the dishwasher, and as I dropped a Cascade Platinum Pac into the dishwasher, I walked away with hope and optimism for beautifully clean, non-pre-washed dishes.
What I got were dishes that were so clean, and so shiny, that it looked like someone had snuck into the dishwasher over night and polished every dish. The whites were glossy white. The glassware was spotless and perfectly clear. The silverware had it’s brilliance back. In short, the results were amazing.
Not only were my dishes cleaner, but I noticed that my dishwasher seemed cleaner as well. When you have hard water, sometimes you notice a build up of minerals on the surface, leaving things a little dull. After one load, the metal sides of the dishwasher are already cleaner and should only improve since Cascade Platinum helps prevent the build-up of hard water film.

Was wondering how well this work. I tried these packets when they all first came out several years ago and wasn’t impressed. Seems like they’ve improved them. This is going on my shopping list.
They look so pretty for dishwashing packets!
Wow! I need to get some of the new Cascade so I do not have to prewash the dishes anymore. Cascade has always gotten my dishes clean, and now I can get the new Cascade so I do not have to prewash! Terrific!
This most def makes me want to try Cascade. I have been a faithful Finish user for years. But it is expensive even with a coupon!
I’m not a fan of prewashing, so I’ll have to give this a try. The results look impressive.
I don’t mind rinsing my dishes, but if rinsing them requires excessive scrubbing (when it’s food that is literally stuck onto the plate), then I get annoyed because at that point you wonder whether it’s better to just wash the dish rather than put it in the dishwasher. I think these new Platinum Pacs would indefinitely help prevent all that excessive pre-washing and frustration.
I also like the colors of the Platinum Pacs and how they leave dishware crystal clean, prevent build up of minerals in the dishwasher itself and eliminate the need for a pre-wash.
