Review:
In terms of cooking, you can’t get much easier than the Dream Dinners Chicken Tetrazzini. It’s literally thaw then straight to the oven. (Making sure to use the baking pan!) I baked mine for 30 minutes, then 20 minutes. The pasta came out nice and moist.
I should mention that I got this dish pre-made by the store, so I’m not sure what the ingredients are. Clearly from the picture, there were red peppers, breadcrumbs and penne pasta. Also mixed in was broccoli and I’m guessing lots of garlic – because mine tasted super garlicy. I’m not positive, but I think the cream sauce was cream of mushroom soup.
Overall, I thought the dish was fine. I was torn between the blandness of the cream sauce and the strong bursts of garlic I would get. Even with the extra breadcrumbs, I felt like I was eating creamy mush – the broccoli wasn’t crunchy and the breadcrumbs were a little soggy. It get’s an extra half star for convenience, but this would probably be closer to a 2.5 star meal for me.
Tips:
I like mine with extra crunch to it, so I added extra Italian Herb Panko Breadcrumbs to the top (with a light burst of cooking spray on the top to prevent burning) AFTER the first 30 minutes, when you remove the lid to continue baking.
