We love playing games. It’s true that sometimes we can get competitive, but there’s always great fun to be had, whether it’s a computer, video, or board game. Getting together for family game nights is not only a great way to spend time with loved ones, but it’s also a lot of fun. Combine that with our penchant for ketchup and any food that can be dipped into ketchup, and you’ve got yourself a formula for a rousing night.
To prepare for our latest family game night, we stopped off at our local Walmart to pick-up some necessities: Ore Ida French Fries, Tyson Chicken Nuggets, and Heinz Ketchup. The rate at which we devour these items on a regular basis is almost shocking. I often think I need to find a place to buy Heinz ketchup by the barrel.
Any of the frozen potatoes from Ore Ida are popular here as well – whether it’s the hash browns, fries, or tots. Recently, we’ve been enjoying the Extra Crispy potatoes. I’ve found that when I oven-bake, the “extra crispy” really helps bring that extra crunch to the exterior of the fry that typically comes with frying, except without the oil. After some debate, we finally settled on the Extra Crispy Golden Crinkle, Extra Crispy Seasoned Crinkle, and Southern-Style Hash Browns.
Once I had all the ingredients home, it was time to start baking. Another thing I love about the Tyson Nuggets and the Ore Ida fries is how easy they are to prepare. Literally just throw (OK, maybe carefully place on a baking sheet and place) everything in the oven and let it cook.
Meanwhile, I broke out our Hasbro Harry Potter Clue board game. Since we’re Harry Potter fans, this is always a great game to play and is a fun twist on the traditional game of Clue.
I’m not one to brag (OK, sometimes I do) but let me just say, I totally rock at Clue. Bellatrix Lestrange, in the Ministry of Magic, with Poisoned Mead.
If you’re planning an upcoming Family Game Night, definitely consider these tasty and easy-to-make food options which will not only fill tummies, but will help you spend more time having fun with the family.

Clue is such a fun game! I’ve never played the Harry Potter version though.
I loved Clue as a kid but haven’t even thought about trying it with my daughters! I need to look at the age range and see if it would work for them!
