I didn’t get a chance to watching Happy Feet (one) in theaters. I first watched it a couple of years later and immediately understood why everyone fell in love with Mumble and his happy feet. At the end of Happy Feet, we saw Mumble reunite with Gloria to live happily ever after. With Happy Feet Two, we get to see just how happy their ever after is.
About Happy Feet Two

The Review
Happy Feet Two begins in Antarctica, where we catch up with Mumble, Gloria, and their son Erik. Faced with his own insecurities about dancing, Erik runs away and meets Sven – a penguin that can fly. “If you vant it, you must vill it,” Sven declares as he swoops over the other penguins. When Mumble finds Erik to bring him home, it begins an unexpected journey that not only challenges Mumble, but helps Erik to see his father in a new light.
There are some familiar and new voices in Happy Feet Two. Elijah Wood (Mumble) and Robin Williams (Looooooovelace and Ramon) reprise their respective roles. Gloria is voiced by Pink. Other newcomers to the cast include Hank Azaria (as Sven), and Brad Pitt and Matt Damon are Will the Krill and Bill the Krill.
First and foremost, the movie is just plain fun and is one that the young, and young-at-heart, will enjoy. A couple of my favorite parts were when Erik was singing about his father and also when the walruses started charging. (Rawhide!) This definitely is a family friendly movie and with the amazing soundtrack your kids might pop up dancing as they watch the movie. Similar to the first flick, Happy Feet Two features a wide array of music genres from “Rhythm Nation” to “We are the Champions.” They even upped the ante with a little opera singing. There’s a little something for everyone to get their groove on.
There is a environmental message in Happy Feet Two, although I thought it was a little more subtle than the one in the first movie. In the first film they touched upon the effects of over-fishing the oceans. In this film they hint at the effects of global warming when the ice shelf the penguins are living on see a significant change.

looks like a great family movie
Oh I love Happy Feet
My infant son adores this movie. He watches it transfixed. He smiles, laughs, and tries to dance every time they sing. It’s such a cute movie. I love penguins.
