Honey is an ingredient that’s been around for a long, long time and has tons of health benefits. Whether it’s helping to soothe sore throats or coughs or treating swelling and scarring on wounds, honey is an all-natural wonder-ingredient of sorts. Now, honeydrop’s founder and CEO David Luks has bottled all of the all-natural taste and health benefits in a new organic drink. And guess what – it’s sweetened ONLY with organic honey.
About honeydrop
The Review
With only 40 calories per serving, honeydrop beverages are made with organic honey and organic ingredients – using the best of nature and bottling it up for you to drink. Honeydrop Alive is a great drink for before or after workouts to help give you sustainable energy or to help rebuild your muscles. If you’re feeling a little under the weather, honeydrop Calm will give you the combined healing affects of honey and chamomile. If you want to increase your intake of cancer-fighting anti-oxidants, then honeydrop Strong fits the bill, infusing the health benefits of blueberries in the beverage.
The drinks are very refreshing with a light flavor that isn’t too sweet or too strong, but provides just enough to satisfy. It does a great job of quenching your thirst. I wasn’t able to detect the honey flavor that much, but one of the other testers noticed it and liked it a lot. This is the perfect drink to enjoy on a hot, sunny day when you’re trying to cool off and don’t want to fill yourself with unhealthy, sugary, carbonated drinks. Although in truth, I’d probably enjoy it any time I needed something cool to drink.
Between the three flavors I tried – Alive (Blood Oranges & Honey), Calm (Chamomile, Tea & Honey), and Stronpg (Blueberries & Honey) – my favorite was definitely the Strong. I loved the light infusion of the blueberry flavor in the drink combined with the unique sweetness from the honey. The other tester liked Alive the best – but that might just be because he really likes oranges.
honeydrop is currently available at natural food retailers such as Whole Foods in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
