Over the past few years, “of the month” clubs have re-emerged and become even more popular as subscription boxes. From women’s fashions to flowers to snacks, there’s a subscription box for virtually any product or person, making them a great gift idea when you’re looking for the perfect gift. While there are lots of different food boxes to choose from, few of them cater towards gourmet gents in our lives. Because Mantry boxes feature gourmet foods that will satisfy the manly palettes out there, Mantry is one of the best artisan food gift for Father’s Day – or any gift giving occasion, for that matter.
New Mantry crates are delivered to your door every two months. Subscriptions are regularly $75 every two months but are currently on sale for $49. Additional discounts and a bonus gift apply with 12 month Mantry subscriptions. Each Mantry delivery features a different theme that the products are curated around. There are 6 full-size artisan food products, curated from artisan makers across the country, in each box. We received the Mantry Comfort Food box which highlighted favorite foods made new with a twist.
Mantry includes a colorful brochure that details each of that month’s artisan food picks. I really like that each of the items is from a different part of the U.S. It gives us the opportunity to try food we probably would never try unless we visited that specific town.
The Comfort Food Mantry box had: Yellowbird Blue Agave Sriracha from Austin TX, Lark Coconut Butter Cookies from Essex, MA, Fire & Raw Alderwood Smoked Chocolate Bar from Brooklyn, NY, Fick’s Moscow Mule Mixer from San Francisco, CA, Ancian Grain Oatmeal from Farm to Table Foods in Chappaqua, NY, and Real Jerky Co. Chef’s Cut Smoked Beef Choptle Smoked Pepper beef jerky.
The favorite item of the Mantry Comfort Food box was Ficks’ Premium Cocktail Mix. With this mix, you can easily mix up a Moscow Mule made with organic ginger juice. I also liked that it was infused with vitamins and electrolytes. If you love hot sauce, you’ll love Yellowbird’s Blue Agave Sriracha sauce. This hot sauce definitely packs a punch but also has the sweetness of the blue agave.
Anything meat-based is always a hit here. The Real Jerky Co. beef jerky has a subtle spice and heat. You can taste the smokiness from the chipotle smoked pepper. And speaking of smoke, the smoked salt chocolate bar from Fine & Raw chocolate is a unique and tasty twist on a chocolate bar. Another treat in the box was the Coconut Butter Cookies. These rich cookies are a decadent treat, delivering coconut flavor and a hint of rum and a perfectly baked, buttery cookie. Finally, the twist on comforting oatmeal is the spelt and whole grains in the wholesome oatmeal. It’s a great way to start the morning.
It’s also worth noting that the crate itself is not only rustic and unique and design, but is great for re-purposing. Gil was almost as excited to get the crate as the other items.
This is the second Mantry box we’ve received and once again, Mantry delivers in both quality and variety of foods. Boxes are sure to surprise the modern man in your life with delicious, artisan pantry items and foods month after month. These are just a few of the reasons why we think Mantry boxes are one of the best artisan food gift for Father’s Day, birthdays, holidays, and other gifting occasions.
Who do you know that would love a Mantry subscription box?
looks like some tasty goodies.
