The holidays is a time when we can appreciate those we love. We gather with friends and family at home or we travel across the country to spend time with loved ones. Master Lock is honoring “sweethearts” and loved ones around the world through their Master Love Lock campaign.
Couples and families have locked padlocks onto bridges and gates, from the Brooklyn Bridge in New York to the Rialto Bridge in Venice, Italy, to help symbolize the strength and security of their love an affection for each other. Master Lock is giving us the opportunity to “lock up” our love with a virtual padlock on the www.MasterLoveLock.com site. Not only can you declare your love or affection for someone through the site, but you can also help support a great cause.
This season, you can help support the American Heart Association by visiting www.MasterLoveLock.com and creating your own virtual love lock. Master Lock is kicking off donations with $10,000 and will donate an additional dollar for every love lock sent until December 31, 2012.
You can also pick up your own “real”, limited edition Master Love Lock for just $4.99. This cute lock is perfect for travelling and securing luggage, backpacks and briefcases, or for attaching to the next bridge you visit with your loved ones.

The “Love Lock” tradition is truly inspiring, but I find the “virtual” lock more economical, in addition to supporting a worthy cause – hopefully they will extend or reinstate the donation link as it has already expired. Thanks for the share.
This is such a cute lock. I really like the romance in the “Love Lock” tradition. Great idea for a Valentines outing.
Totally not necessary, but really cute. Definitely marketed to woman.
That’s a great campaign! The lock with the “I [heart]…” is very cute! Obviously Master Lock locks are great for keeping our priced possessions secure with their strong and durable locks, but the Love Lock tradition itself is nice as well. Locks are a great symbol of love, I suppose.
