I really enjoy BBC/Discovery Channel series. They are always beautifully shot, almost magical, pictorial stories that are taken around the world. Starting this weekend, a new BBC/Discovery Channel co-production will premiere on the Discovery Channel starting this weekend, April 10th, continuing on April 17th and 24th at 8PM. I’ve seen the previews and it is definitely something that should be TiVo’d. It looks absolutely amazing and I’m looking forward to the opportunity to learn more about new cultures. So take a look at the following previews, then schedule your family viewing time for everyone to enjoy the show together.
Here’s another clip that shows how man can work together to face situations that most would say is crazy. The title of this video is: “3 Men vs. 15 Hungry Lions”
Human Planet will premiere on the Discovery Channel on April 10th, 17th, and 24th at 8pm and arrive on DVD and Blu-ray on April 26, just two days following the broadcast conclusion. More information to come!
About Human Planet
Human Planet is the first BBC/Discovery Channel co-production to focus solely on human behavior. Since premiering in the UK, the series has received overwhelming critical acclaim including The Telegraph proclaiming, “it’s like nothing you’ve ever seen before” and The Sun stating that it’s “visually stunning and utterly fascinating, this is seriously impressive stuff.” From the makers of Planet Earth, Life and Blue Planet, Human Planet focuses on humanities amazing, complex and profound relationship with nature. It weaves together 80 stories, many never told before, to illuminate humanity’s uncanny ability to adapt and live in every corner of our diverse world. Each episode centers on a particular habitat, and by using innovative and cutting edge filming techniques, reveals how its people have created astonishing solutions in the face of extreme adversity.
The Discovery Channel version will be presented by Charles Parnell and consists of six episodes that will take viewers to the farthest reaches of the globe culminating with, Life at the Extremes, a “best of” episode.
