Making this Strawberry Banana Sesame Milk smoothie is very easy. Just throw all of the ingredients in the blender and blend. You can use fresh bananas and/or fresh strawberries as well, but you may need to add more ice to make the smoothie thicker.
The result is a light, slightly creamy, fruity smoothie that’s perfect for a between meal snack or as a refreshing treat. When I tasted the Hope & Sesame sesamemilk alone, I could taste a slight, nutty sweetness to the sesamemilk – even in the unsweetened version. But it wasn’t overwhelming and actually added a pleasant flavor to the smoothie. I especially like that I’m getting 8g of protein in each smoothie, thanks to Hope & Sesame’s exclusive plant-based protein concentrate – Sesamein.
Sesame offers a variety of potential health benefits. Sesame seeds are a natural source of vital minerals like copper, magnesium, and iron. It’s also packed with rich amino acids.
I’d never tried sesame milk before so I enjoyed discovering a new dairy-free milk alternative. I think you could substitute it in virtually any recipe that calls for almond milk.
One thing you might not know is that sesame seeds are a more sustainable crop than some other seeds and nuts. For example, while almonds require a LOT of water to grow (it takes 1.1 gallons of water to grow ONE almond – as in a single almond,) sesame seeds can grow in moisture and heat-stressed environments. Sesame seeds also have a quick time to harvest – they’re ready to harvest about 125 days from planting compared to other nondairy milk sources which can take years. So sesame milk is not only a smart dairy-free choice for you, it’s a smart choice for the environment too.

I’ve tried a few of their products and they are AMAZING. The Mozaics Organic Popped Veggie & Potato Chips were really flavorful. The texture is something between a rice cake and a traditional chip and has a nice crunch. I also found them more filling than regular chips.
The Handfulls Crrrunch Bites were a surprise treat. I can honestly say I’ve never eaten anything like them. They coat whole roasted almonds with a crunchy potato chip coating, and then add a coating of yummy flavors like Ranch, Honey Mustard, or BBQ. SO GOOD.
