I’ve never been the hugest fan of mopping floors. I would mop floors at one of the stores I worked at and it just seemed like there had to be an easier way. Filling the bucket, adding the soap, plunging the mop, wringing out the now water-laden (and heavy) mop, then mopping. Then repeat. Sure, my arms got a workout and sure, the floors got clean, but still…there had to be an easier way.
I’m not stranger to other kinds of mops. I’m a huge fan of my Black & Decker Steam Mop, which I use regularly in the kitchen and wherever the dogs run. But sometimes I want to clean with a little more than steam. And that’s when the Reveal Spray Mop from Rubbermaid comes to the rescue. I recently received the Rubbermaid Reveal Spray Mop for review and was excited at the opportunity to test it out.
The big feature that caught my eye was that you can use your favorite cleaner in the refillable spray container. This not only allows me to use the cleaner of my choice, but also saves some money since I don’t need to keep buying refills. Simply add a couple of teaspoons to the bottle and top it off with water. Or do it in the opposite order (fill with water then add a couple of teaspoons of cleaner) so you don’t have bubble overload when the water mixes with the cleaner.
Next, put the bottle back into the mop and you can start cleaning. The trigger at the handle is easy to pull and I really like the wide spray area of the spray. With some other products, it seemed like the spray concentrated in a really narrow area. With the Reveal Spray Mop, the spray went just a little wider than the width of the mop pad.
The reusable and washable microfiber pad is another nice feature for the Reveal Spray Mop. It is soft to the touch and is very absorbent. It easily cleaned up the sprayed cleaner, as well as any small spills. What makes this pad so great is that you can wash it and reuse it up to 100 times. I also appreciated that it was red because who really wants to see how dirty your floors are? Not me.
For any stubborn messes, you can flip the mop over and use the attached scrubbing pad to help clean those right up. The non-scratch scrubbing pad is an upgrade from previous versions of the Reveal Spray Mop.
If you’re looking for an easy and cost-effective way to clean your floors, keep an eye out for the Reveal Spray Mop from Rubbermaid. You can find the mop in retailers like Walmart and Target.
