I’ve been a Skype user for a few years now – ever since I first discovered that I could make free calls to other Skype users. Talk about a money savings. I’m excited to share that we have been selected to be a member of the Skype Ambassador Program!
Skype is a very convenient and affordable way to communicate with friends and family. If you’re living away from home, you can use it to have video chats with members of your family that live across the country. With just one little chat, you can really brighten someone’s day with a joke, hello, or a smile. Oftentimes, having the ability to actually speak to someone “face to face” can convey much more meaning than a greeting card. While there are some very nice greeting cards, you’re limited to the space and the message that will fit in the card. With a video chat on Skype, you can see how someone reacts and it’s almost like you are in the same room with them. It just doesn’t really compare to a card.
To learn more about Skype, visit the Skype Facebook Page. While you’re there, make sure you check out the Mom, You Rock promotion. As part of Skype’s Mom, You Rock campaign, Skype will donate $1 to Save the Children’s Global Action Fund for every ‘Mom, you rock’ video that is sent. Just take a few moments to create a video greeting for someone special and send it as a special surprise message to a friend.
Stay tuned in the next few weeks as we share more about Skype and how you can use it, not only to send special messages, but also as part of your daily life.
Disclaimer: I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Skype. I received Skype credits to facilitate my review and a promotional item to thank me for participating. All opinions are my own.
sounds cool–but I don’t want to be seen when I’m on the phone 😉
