One of the things that come with summer is a trip to the amusement park. I’ll admit that when I was in my teens, I was semi-envious of little kids at amusement parks. Height requirements aside, I wished that I could sit down and have someone push me around the park. (So…much….walking….) While you can still use a stroller to give the kids a walking break, stroller technology has completely changed since then.
Not only can kids be pushed in their strollers, but they can also go “running” with mom or dad by lounging in jogging strollers. Can you imagine – the kid is outside with the wind blowing through their hair and the sidewalk moving quickly by. It’s like their own mini roller coaster ride powered completely by mom. Good ‘ole mom and her trusted Nikes.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. There are also these cool tandem strollers. Not only can your child kick back while you run them around the neighborhood, but they can enjoy the ride with their brother, sister, or friend. Side-by-side lounging. All they need is a little mini-cooler filled with juice boxes to make it a more perfect ride. And for those of you who like the little extra workout, you can combine the two to create a tandem jogging stroller.
With strollers like these, who really needs an amusement park? Let’s lace up those running shoes, strap the kiddos in, and go for a run!
they look great–until you try to fit one in your vehicle…doesn’t always work…when the time comes (years from now), make sure to play with it in the store and see how compact it folds
Enjoyed Hershey Park yesterday. 🙂
They should invent a stroller/car combo that allows you to just “roll” the stroller into the car and double as the car seat.
You were at Hershey Park? I was there last October for the first time. Did you have a good time?
We had a great time. It was DH’s company picnic. The crowds weren’t bad and the kids had a blast. We go 1X/year b/c of the picnic–they pay for parking, tix and all-you-can-eat catering for 4 hours–amazing deal for our family (close to a $400 value). I went as a kid, too, a few times. Stormed the whole way home (about 1.5 hours).
