I’ll admit that sometimes I maybe, possibly, kinda, sorta spoil my pets. It’s practically impossible for me to go to a store with a pet section and for me to leave without some new treat or toy I’m sure the girls would love. When I learned about BarkBox, I knew it was right up my alley. Not only does it introduce the pups and me to new products, but a BarkBox can be shipped every month, filled with products that cost more than I paid.
August BarkBox Surprises
I was excited to open my very first BarkBox. I didn’t know what to expect and I wondered whether everything in the box would be “puppy-friendly.” I was pleasantly surprised when I popped the top and found five fun products that the girls were sure to love.
The August BarkBox included a green Flying Pig from Hyper Pet, Freshening Spray from Nature’s Miracle, and tasty treats from Acadia Antlers, Milk-Bone, and Bocce’s Bakery. While all of these products LOOK cool, they needed four paws up to be considered “approved.”
The first thing we decided to “test” was the Flying Pig from Hyper Pet. The Flying Pig is essentially a sling-shot toy that you shoot and let the dogs fetch. So we shot the pig and the dogs chased the pig and then they started fighting between each other over who was going to be the ultimate “pig-killer.” Here’s a picture of Sophie attacking the head and Sera grabbing the rope tail. To say this toy was fun for all would be an understatement.
Another amazing product included in the box was the Nature’s Miracle Freshening Spray. Our girls are indoor/outdoor dogs and while we do give them baths, sometimes they definitely “smell like dog.” One night I hesitantly gave Sophie a little spritz, and when I say little I mean just barely pushing the sprayer down. Wow did that tiny spray make a big difference. Then I gave Sera a spritz, spraying the Nature’s Miracle Freshening Spray all the way down her back, then giving her a quick rub. I repeated the same with Sophie. BAM! I went from two doggy smelling dogs to two baby-fresh smelling dogs. I was impressed.
BarkBox is a great way to discover new products for your pooches. I loved the variety of products that they offered and appreciated the value of the box. When I tally up the value of the products I received, getting the BarkBox saved well over $10 off retail price. It’s even more savings if you have a longer subscription.
Receive a monthly BarkBox is almost like having a “mini” Christmas for your canines every month. I encourage you to give it a try – even if it’s just for one month – to see if BarkBox is a fit for you and your dog. Sign-up today and get $5 off your first Bark Box!

Your doggies are so cute! And what a great idea in the Bark Box…may need to look into that!

That would be a great gift, too!
What a cool idea! My only complaint is Why didn’t I think of it??? Lol
cool if I had a doggie
What a great idea. I definitely need to try out that spray on my mother’s dog. I wonder if there is one for cats as well?
Oh wow that sounds awesome!!!! I am going to have to check this out!
I like to spoil my dogs too. I wonder if my dogs knew that they were getting something in the mail if they might be nicer to the mail people.. I don’t know why but as soon as they hear the mail truck pull up they start barking and my little dog will chase the mail person and try to bite their ankles. So, maybe we can try it and see.
OMGoodness! This is such an adorable idea! I knew they had boxes like this for beatuy products and what not , but for pets too! I love it! What kind of dogs are those? I have a all white huskey that looks a lot like your dogs 🙂
I have been wanting to try a Dog Box for awhile, so I am glad to know which one’s are good. I will be sure to check them out.
Thanks for the review!
