We’ve all been to the Dream Dinners stores, squeezed out the olive oil into the tiny tablespoon sized measuring cups or poured red wine into the larger cup sized measuring cups, and thought “WOW! This is so cool!”
I’ll admit for the bulk of my culinary life, I was using the standard measuring cup, where you would have to lift the cup up to eye level to see if the bottom of the curve of the liquid was at equal level to the line, or I would just keep the cup on the counter and I would squat down and close one eye so I could see where it was. Once I started using the Dream Dinners measuring cups, I didn’t understand why measuring cups weren’t made that way in the first place! It seems so simple. So logical.
Now I have my own set of read-from-the-top measuring cups – saving me the up and down yo-yo movement of pouring, squatting and reading the level, adding/taking away liquid, squatting and reading, adding/taking away liquid again because I added or took away too much the first time, squatting and reading the level yet again, etc. If you would like your very own set of yo-yo resistant, read-from-the-top (officially, they’re “angled”) measuring cups, they are available on amazon.com in 4 sizes:
- 4 cup
- 2 cup
- 1 cup
- 1/4 cup (4 oz.)
- or get a full set of 3 sizes (4-cup, 2-cup, 1-cup)
